Pure Corundum

Corindone naturale per pavimentazioni industriali

“

Isoplam Corundum is a very high-hardness mineral grit, consisting of crystalline alumina (aluminium oxide) with a purity of over 93%. Classified as grade 9 on the Mohs scale, it is one of the hardest materials known, second only to diamond. Its composition may include traces of chromium, iron and titanium, which are responsible for its typical colours.

Thanks to its sharp-edged structure and extremely high hardness, Isoplam Corundum is mixed with Pavilux surface hardeners, significantly increasing the hardness, abrasion resistance and durability of industrial concrete flooring.

Used as an additive in the Pavilux Corundum D9 and Pavilux Basaltum D9 systems, corundum enhances floor performance, making it ideal for high-traffic areas, logistics areas, automated warehouses and environments subject to extreme mechanical stresses. Its ultra-hard nature also makes it suitable for use as a professional abrasive or blasting agent, with the possibility of recycling. Compliant with ISO 11124, ISO 11126-7 and FEPA standards, it is supplied in 25 kg bags and is intended exclusively for professional use.
