The continuous coating signed Isoplam, made with real metal flakes, interprets a new idea of kitchen, where resistance to daily use and aesthetic strength coexist in a fluid and material space, guaranteeing maximum design freedom.
The metal is back in the kitchen. No longer as a technical detail or accent finish, but as a real architectural surface that defines plans, walls and volumes with a continuous, material and strongly contemporary language. To interpret this evolution is Plamina by Isoplam, the decorative coating based on cement and real metal flakes in which aesthetic strength, resistance and application versatility dialogue with the needs of the project.
Daily resistance for the kitchen environment
At just 2–3 mm thick, Plamina by Isoplam retains the hardness and intrinsic properties of the metals used in its composition, making it particularly effective in environments where surfaces are exposed to constant wear and stress. Resistant to scratches, impacts and heat, it can be used to coat walls, splashbacks, worktops and kitchen islands, ensuring visual consistency and long-lasting performance. Its resistance to grease and oil stains makes it ideal for splashbacks behind cooking areas, while its water resistance also allows it to be used in areas frequently exposed to water, such as around sinks. Plamina is also easy to maintain: its continuous, seamless texture simplifies everyday cleaning, while protective treatments help keep maintenance requirements to a minimum.
From a design perspective, Plamina offers extensive creative freedom. It can be applied both horizontally and vertically over a wide range of substrates – including masonry, plasterboard, wood, plastic, porcelain stoneware, laminate, ceramic and tiles – making it suitable for both new projects and renovation or restyling applications. Its flexibility also allows it to cover curved and rounded surfaces and complex volumes, transforming the space into a continuous material composition without being constrained by existing shapes or materials.
Beyond the classic decorative surface
From an aesthetic perspective, Plamina by Isoplam enhances the expressive character of metal, reproducing its natural shading and the colour variations created over time through oxidation. The standard palette includes Bronze, Brass, Copper, Zinc, Tin and Iron, while different options can be combined to create custom metallic shades. The texture can also be customised with both smooth and tactile effects – from crocodile and bamboo to bark, honeycomb, mesh and other decorative finishes – further expanding the expressive possibilities of the coating.
Thanks to its performance and aesthetic versatility, Plamina can be considered a surface with both high technical and decorative value: a material capable of transforming the kitchen into a sophisticated, durable and distinctive space, where metal is not simply a finish applied to the interior, but becomes an integral part of the design.
