A balanced architectural backdrop that accompanies the exhibition path without ever imposing itself on artistic works.
At Quattro Canti, in the monumental heart of Palermo, the interiors of the Francesco Pantaleone Arte Contemporanea Gallery (FPAC) underwent a major renovation aimed at redefining the exhibition space as an essential, minimalist architectural setting, designed to showcase the artworks without competing with their expressive power.
To complement the gallery’s spatial language and provide continuity throughout the exhibition route without visually overpowering the artworks, Skyconcrete Indoor was selected: Isoplam’s low-thickness, seamless flooring system with a distinctive clouded effect.
Finished in the subtle Taupe shade with a matt finish, Skyconcrete Indoor enhances the natural light entering through the large openings facing the street, carefully modulating its reflection to create a soft, balanced atmosphere.
The absence of joints also eliminates visual fragmentation, creating a clean perception of the space and allowing the installations to remain the primary focus.
The flooring thus becomes more than a neutral backdrop: it forms an integral part of the cultural experience, helping to establish the balance between architecture, light and artwork that defines the quality of spaces dedicated to art.
