The Garden of the Arts at the Capuchin Convent in Maratea is part of a landscape context of great value, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea and surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation.

The project provided for the creation of decorative exterior surfaces made with ItalianTerrazzo, an architectural floor in washed gravel in ochre yellow, inside which sinuous decorations were inserted made with Plam Resin Drain in blue.

The curved shapes recall the movement of the water and the marine landscape visible from the belvedere, transforming the pavement into a graphic and landscape element that guides the path inside the garden.

The alternation between the washed gravel surface and the coloured draining resin inserts allows for a continuous, resistant and draining flooring, suitable for public outdoor spaces and historical contexts.

The project demonstrates how architectural surfaces can become elements of urban and landscape design, contributing to the identity of the place and the quality of the open space.
