ItalianTerrazzo® is the solution designed and produced by Isoplam to create washed stone-style floors with a refined and natural aesthetic. Isoplam washed gravel is a material with an ecological soul, obtained by mixing cement, fine marble grits, river stones or natural stone with a coloured and additive-reinforced fibre mixture. This combination gives the surface a high resistance, durability and an authentic beauty capable of enhancing any architectural project.
Washed gravel, also called washed stone, represents a practical and durable solution for creating elegant exterior surfaces of great visual impact. Thanks to the sanding of the surface, the floor can take on an effect similar to the Venetian terrazzo, transforming into a valuable interior finish. The pros of the product
The ease of laying Isoplam washed gravel allows you to create customised and tailor-made floors for each project. With a required thickness of only 3 centimetres, it is possible to create a washed stone surface even on existing floors, thanks to the “cool on hard” technique that ensures excellent adhesion and a homogeneous finish.
Alternatively, Isoplam washed gravel can be applied directly to fresh concrete using the “fresh on cool” technique, ideal for new realisations. Washed stone floors are thus perfect for renovating and decorating squares, sidewalks, avenues, arcades, historic centres and other public places, offering durability, aesthetic value and visual continuity in any urban or residential context.

Application
- The screed, if not sufficiently rough, must be scarified and washed.
- Application of Cement Primer bonding primer.
- Application of ItalianTerrazzo (Deco Ghiaino + Cement + Stone Aggregates) in thicknesses from 2 to 5 cm.
- Screeding and smoothing of the surface.
- Application of Iso Deactivator by Isoplam.
- Washing of the surface within 12–24 hours using a pressure washer, followed by the application of Plam Sealing/L or Plam Sealing Water protective sealer.
